Abacus Household Furniture

Our household furniture range contains several hardwood and softwood designs using new and reclaimed materials. All of our range is manufactured from fine materials to a very high standard ensuring quality throughout. The styles are 'hand picked' from a number of manufacturers in contemporary and traditional design that will compliment the beauty and add to the warmth of any home.

Abacus Leather

Leather is a unique and natural material. Our 'antiqued' leather is produced from top grain aniline dyed hides creating distinctive, uncorrected, top selection leather. Hand distressed to give a look and style, which retains the natural aesthetics of genuine leather and which also keeps natures markings present creating a distinctive uniqueness to every piece. Our products are made to the highest standards with each piece rigorously inspected prior to delivery ensuring continuity of fine quality products. Our leather furniture is available in rich mocca, bottle green, paprika, reisand black and light tan. Expertise gained in sourcing fine leathers mean we also supply a range of stunning leather-finished home accessories, including leather cubes and even leather framed mirrors. Leather is a natural product and each hide has its own individual characteristics and natural marks. Differences in the grain, texture and colour may be apparent from one hide to another and even within the same hide, making your piece as individual as you are.

Abacus Timber

Our timber is environmentally friendly and 100% recycled. It has an authentic distressed look, which is unique and unachievable from new timber. Distressed features of the timber are preserved whenever practical following a steaming and kiln drying process which prevents the possibility of the timber splitting and twisting.

Abacus Reclaimed Pine

Our pine timber has previously been used as frameworks for buildings, pallets, packing crates and mine props in many countries of the northern hemisphere. It has an authentic distressed look, which is unique and unachievable from new timber. Distressed features of the timber are preserved whenever practical following a steaming and kiln drying process which prevents the possibility of the timber splitting and twisting. The finished article has a wealth of character, charm and history, which will add quality and warmth to the home.

Abacus Cedar

The Reclaimed Russian Cedar Timber used to make the 'Oregon' furniture can be anywhere up to 130 years old from when it was first harvested by the great Russian Frontiers. It was first used to form part of the Trans Siberian Railways in way of bridging beams, tunnel supports, houses and sleepers. Each piece has been individually selected in an attempt to retain as much of its original character as possible, which includes the blackened sections; a result of the anti-rot coatings applied over the years. Once the timber has been crafted it is hand polished to regain as much of the original natural colour as possible.

Abacus Oak

Our character and stylish 'distressed age' solid Oak furniture is handcrafted from fine quality timber to give an air of distinctive charm and sophistication adding to the beauty of your home. The natural and wonderful patterns of Oak are highlighted by the natural oil, which also enhances the beauty and protects your furniture for you. Each piece is absolutely unique and has been designed in a contemporary style to suit the most discerning customer tastes.

Abacus Garden Furniture

Our garden range contains several ranges of hardwood furniture that will compliment any garden, patio or conservatory. Additional products include cushions, parasols, bases, patio heaters and barbeques all designed to enhance your leisure time.

Abacus Teak (Garden)

All our teak furniture is made to the highest standards from the finest 'grade A' quality kiln dried timber, which is harvested from well-managed certified re-plantation forest timber.

Teak is undeniably the best type of wood for garden furniture, since it doesn't require any type of maintenance to prevent deterioration. Nevertheless, oiling the wood once every year is necessary if you wish to obtain the beautiful golden brown colour and velvet feel.

Abacus Keruing (Garden)

All our Keruing hardwood furniture is manufactured to the highest standards made from certified well-managed re-plantation forest timber. Keruing is a high-density wood species. It has similarities to teak - it's extremely weatherproof, relatively heavy, giving a robust feel and requires only little maintenance perhaps oil or stain once every year if you wish to obtain the beautiful brown/red original colour.
